The toolbox for experimental fatigue and
durability analysis, and environmental
engineering computations
Overview
DuraTools™ has been designed for the engineer who uses MATLAB to analyze or model signals from an environmental engineering and/or fatigue perspective.
The toolbox simplifies import from, and export to, standard software and data acquisition systems used in this field. In addition, functions for classifying signals, for computing
shock response spectra, fatigue damage spectra, rain flow counting etc. are included in the toolbox.
Specialized functions for defining environmental test spectra from measured data are also included.

Key Features
• Standard data storage format with header values for noise and vibration signals, such as measurement position, direction, etc
• Triple Gaussian probability density function fit of data
|
|
• Level crossing, rain flow counting, and peak valley counting
• Fatigue damage spectrum and shock response spectrum computations from time data, including response equivalent peak velocity according to ISO TS 10811-1.
• Palmgren-Miner damage estimation.
• Conversion routines to/from various spectra
• Shock indicator function; computes if a signal contains shocks, i.e. if a shock test is necessary to simulate the environment.
• Time data filtering through mechanical models, through SDOF filters and more.
• Time data synthesis from PSD or pseudo velocity spectra.
• Frequency response synthesis from mechanical models.
• 3D maps of pseudo velocity and SRS.
